Scholastic Book Fair is next week!

The Scholastic Book Fair will be in Room 203 the week of September 26-30. The fair will be open from 8:00-3:30 Monday through Thursday and 8:00-1:30 on Friday. We hope to see you all at the fair! For more details click here

Summer Reading Breakfast

For those students who participated in the Summer Reading program, there will be a breakfast in the media center on Thursday, August 25th. We'll have doughnuts, fruit, breakfast bars, juice, milk, and lots of prizes! Slips were due Friday, Aug. 19th.

Summer Reading!

For summer reading this year, CMS is partnering with the York County Library. They are planning a summer filled with good books, prizes, and special events. The theme for this summer will be "You Are Here." All rising 6th-12th grade students are eligible to participate. Stop in at any York County Library branch (Clover, Lake Wylie, York, Fort Mill, or Rock Hll) beginning June 6th to pick up your reading log. Complete 15 hours of reading, then return your completed reading log (no later than July 29th) to collect your prize (a travel journal) and enter you name into the Grand Prize drawing (for gift cards to Best Buy, Gamestop, Target, and McDonalds). When school resumes in August, I will have a breakfast (donuts & juice) and door prizes for those students who completed the summer reading log. The librarian at the public library will give you a document to return to me the first week of school (no later than Aug. 19). I hope you have a fantastic summer.... and Happy Reading!
